Veterinary Assistant-Per Diem

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in providing quality care to our animal patients and ensuring efficient operations in our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in clinical procedures, maintain medical records, and ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccinations under veterinarian supervision.
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples for analysis.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update client information.
• Educate pet owners on post-treatment care and general animal health.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination and treatment areas.

Qualifications:

• Highschool deploma or Veterinary Assistant Certification
• Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistnat or similar role.
• Strong understanding of animal care and medical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
• Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Hours:

• This is a Per Diem/ Relief positions hours vary as needed.

Pay rate:

• $20.00-22.00/hr
