Contract | Full-Time | Outpatient | Days | Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required for clinical care
- Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
- Support organizational performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervision channels
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop functional, goal-oriented treatment plans
- Proficiency in clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethical standards
- Commitment to patient and employee safety practices including safe patient handling and infection control protocols
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development through continuing education and professional organization involvement
