Contract | Days | Full-Time | 32–40 Hours per Week | Monday–Friday | 13-Week Assignment | Outpatient
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Design functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities and progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients
- Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and completing all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Georgia
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Ability to complete thorough clinical evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Experience with student supervision and clinical education
- Demonstrated involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations
