About the PositionLooking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join our team as a traveling Physical Therapist in Baker, MT, supporting a hospital outpatient department with occasional long-term care and skilled swing-bed coverage. You will carry out individualized physical therapy programs including assessment, treatment planning, implementation, education, and interdisciplinary communication to maximize patient progress toward functional goals. The role requires collaboration with other health professionals and ancillary staff and a willingness to both give and accept suggestions to support a community-focused care model.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Montana PT license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience treating outpatient populations. Candidate must be able to evaluate and treat the variety of patients who present to an outpatient clinic.
- Willingness to provide occasional care in long-term care and skilled swing-bed settings (approximately 5% of caseload).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in rural or community-oriented healthcare settings.
- Prior travel therapy experience preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday.
- Estimated outpatient caseload approximately 95% of clinical time, with about 5% LTC and skilled swing coverage.
