Teaching Assistant (Part-time)Department: Humanities
Location: Hybrid - remote & on-site

Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college, offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community, and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. This is a part-time, non-unit position with no benefits. The primary purpose of this role is to assist in everyday administrative tasks and preparation of materials. The position may include on-campus and virtual hours.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with document management, research, and reporting;
- Assist with correspondence and scheduling;
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials;
- Assist with using adaptive technology solutions (e.g. voice to text, shortcuts, etc);
- Other duties as assigned.
This list is not to be considered all-inclusive. A supervisor may assign other duties as required to meet the needs and foster the mission of the College.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher;
- Strong technology skills (will need to provide assistance with OnceDrive, Google Docs, Blackboard, Microsoft Office, etc);
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action;
- Experience working in a community college or similar environment;
- Demonstrates commitment to working with students in need.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $25 per hour
Classification: Part-time, Non-Unit
