- PMHNP to Join Memory and Aging Team in Maine!
Description
Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Mood and Memory Clinic that is part of Northern Light Memory and Aging, an academically oriented outpatient program specializing in neuropsychiatry and geriatric psychiatry.
Position Highlights:
- Join a highly skilled team including a Geriatric Psychiatrist, Neuropsychiatrist, PMHNP, experienced RNs, and administrative support staff
- Practice in a teaching-focused environment with involvement in training medical students, psychiatry residents, and family medicine residents
- Participate in a program that is a member of the Alzheimer’s Network for Treatment and Diagnostics
- Opportunity to work with an anti-amyloid infusion program with advanced imaging access
- 4-day, 32-hour workweek with every Monday off
Qualifications:
- Experience or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry and neuropsychiatry
- Ability to assess and manage complex presentations involving cognitive, neuropsychiatric, and behavioral health conditions
- Knowledge of neurodevelopmental, psychosocial, and medical factors impacting patient care
- Experience performing and interpreting standardized neurocognitive assessments preferred
