Trek Veterinary Surgery is seeking a motivated and dependable Surgery Assistant to join our fast-paced, surgeon-owned team.
We are a highly efficient mobile surgery service performing an average of 4 cases per day, providing advanced surgical care directly to local veterinary hospitals. Our caseload includes a mix of orthopedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in specialty-level medicine.
Position Overview/Key Responsibilities:
- Scrubbing into surgery alongside the surgeon
- Floating support, helping drive efficiency and case flow throughout the day
- Assisting with patient and OR prep
- Surgical instrument handling, pack wrapping and sterilization
- Inventory management and equipment maintenance
- Coordination with partner hospital staff to keep cases running on time and efficiently
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Positive attitude and professionalism when working in partner hospitals
- RVT not required
- Surgical experience is preferred but not required — we are happy to train the right motivated candidate!
