Description
The CompanyOur client is an asset management firm that is seeking a driven and proactive professional to join their Trader Assistant team. This role is responsible for supporting Front Office by trade execution support, pre‑trade compliance checks, order booking and allocation, trade lifecycle follow‑up, handling client and cash inquiries, portfolio management support, process improvement and automation, and more
The Role
- Trade execution support: Assist traders with day‑to‑day deal flow across different markets, helping ensure trades are executed smoothly and efficiently.
- Order management and coordination: Maintain accurate trade orders and allocations, and coordinate closely with teams to ensure seamless front‑to‑back processing.
- Client and internal support: Respond to trade‑related, cash, and account inquiries, working with internal teams locally and overseas to resolve requests.
- Pre‑trade reviews: Support checks before orders are placed to make sure trades follow internal guidelines and policies.
- Portfolio and relationship support: Provide operational and analytical support to portfolio managers and relationship managers in managing client portfolios.
- Trade lifecycle follow‑up: Work with operations teams to track trades from execution through completion, resolving breaks or issues where needed.
- Process improvement and automation: Participate in system enhancements, workflow improvements, and projects focused on increasing efficiency, including building simple automated tools to identify trade discrepancies.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline; quantitative or technical backgrounds are an advantage
- Around 3 years of trader assistant or trade support experience in investment bank or
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to stay organized in a fast‑paced environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Exposure to data tools, automation, or programming (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python) is a plus
- Comfortable working in English; additional language skills are beneficial
