UMKC School of Dentistry is the only public dental school in Missouri. Our alumni account for roughly half of all practicing dentists in Missouri. But our reach goes further, we also provide a critical education outlet for Kansas and several other states. UMKC is the only institution in Missouri offering advanced education residency programs in General Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and Endodontics.

Job Description
The University of MissouriKansas City, School of Dentistry seeks a non-tenure-track faculty Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor for the position of Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program (AEGD Residency). This is a 12-month benefit-eligible position.
Specific responsibilities will concentrate on all aspects of the didactic and clinical training of AEGD residents. These will include, but are not limited to:
- the coordination of all resident didactic curriculum and seminars,
- the organization and preparation of curriculum,
- administrative responsibilities including compliance with accreditation standards and reporting,
- supervisory responsibilities, and
- clinical coordination of resident training.
Prior experience in dental education and/or additional education such as a graduate degree (MS) can be helpful.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a DMD/DDS degree (or equivalent) and completed an AEGD or General Practice (GPR) Residency. Eligibility for the appropriate Missouri Dental licensure is required https://pr.mo.gov/dental.asp.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, and experience. This is a 12-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for ranked promotion. Our academic schedules and workloads provide for a positive work/life balance.
