The Richland County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking a skilled and motivated Criminal Assistant Prosecutor to represent the State in criminal proceedings, support victims, and pursue fair outcomes with integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, prepare, and prosecute felony criminal cases 
• Work closely with law enforcement, victims, and witnesses throughout the legal process
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other pleadings and/or responses
• Represent the State of Ohio at various court proceedings, including prelims, arraignments, hearings, pretrials, and trials
• Participate in training, community outreach, continuing legal education, and remain in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court
   

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with attention to detail and timeliness
• Demonstrated commitment to justice, fairness, and community safety
• Prior prosecutorial or courtroom experience is preferred but not required
