About the Role - Assistant Program Director:
The Assistant Program Director plays a key role in bringing camp programming to life by supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of all activities and events. Working closely with the Program Director, this position helps ensure each day runs smoothly while maintaining a high level of energy, organization, and creativity. From managing schedules and logistics to supporting staff and leading programs, the Assistant Program Director helps create a fun, inclusive, and engaging camp experience for both campers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily schedule, programming, and major camp events
- Manage program logistics, supplies, and activity setup
- Support and mentor staff to ensure strong program delivery
- Help maintain program quality and camper engagement
- Communicate effectively with the Program Director on program needs
- Step in as needed to support activities and ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Willingness to live and work in a camp setting
- Previous experience working with children is preferred
- Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable - able to handle long days and changing situations with a positive attitude

Essential Functions:
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Lift, carry, and move equipment up to 40 lbs
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and adapt to changing schedules, weather, or camper needs
