Description
OverviewThis Assistant Professional Role will be a hands-on experience that will allow the successful candidate to gain experience in every aspect of the business. The goal of our program at Killearn Club is to provide assistants with an opportunity to grow and learn about the entire golf operation. The assistant will be responsible for leading and supervising the outside services staff. Other duties and responsibilities expected to be carried out carefully and correctly by the assistant include: merchandising, special orders, day-to-day golf operations, and organizing and executing tournaments with Golf Genius.
There are ample opportunities for practice and playing, as the Professional Staff will be expected to play with the membership when time permits.
This role can expect to work 5-6 days per week, with approximately 45-55 hours per week at peak season, including time spent teaching and coaching. Practicing and playing are encouraged when appropriate.
Experience Required
The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience at a private club, have a good understanding of Golf Genius tournament software, experience with Trackman Range, and have a strong interest in becoming a future Head Golf Professional. Must be a PGA Class A Member.
Essential Responsibilities
The assistant golf professional will be responsible for leading and supervising the outside services staff to ensure daily operations are conducted efficiently and professionally while maintaining a high level of member service. Additional duties and responsibilities expected to be carried out thoroughly and accurately include merchandising and inventory presentation within the golf shop, processing and managing special orders for members, overseeing day-to-day golf operations, and organizing and executing tournaments and events through Golf Genius. These responsibilities require strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills to ensure a positive experience for both members and guests.
