Overview

The successful candidate is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the outside services operation, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests. This role includes supervising all non-exempt golf staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. The assistant golf professional will also be expected to help in junior programming, individual lessons based on experience and assisting the golf professional team in all aspects of the golf operation.

Experience Required

• Minimum two years golf industry experince
• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
• Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees
• Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
• Self-motivated with desire to promote and market oneself
• Service and customer focused attitude
• Experienced in written and oral business communications

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for member/guest experience on a daily basis
• Responsible for the outside service operation on a daily basis, ensuring standards of service and checklists are followed
• Responsible for outside staffs appearance and uniform compliance
• Responsible for training and motivation of the outside staff
• Responsible for disciplinary write ups and warnings with the assistance of the Head Professional
• Responsible for the outside service weekly schedule
• Responsible for all the necessary supplies are on hand in the outside service. Included but not limited to towels, tees, scorecards, water, all range supplies, radios, pencils, sand bottles, sand, club washers, cleaning supplies for carts and towels. Communicate as required in a timely manner for reordering. Daily & weekly inventories completed
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the cart barn, driving range and immediate area
• Bring new and inventive suggestions to enhance the operation with a minimum financial impact to ownership
• Adhere to, enforce, and implement policies and procedures of the facility
• Assist in the daily reservation system, tracking and verify all players/guests, starting, monitoring, and pace of play
• Assist in the golf shop when needed, ensuring billing and inventory management is adhered too
• Assist the Director of Golf and first assistant in a successful member & guests tournament experience
• Assist the Junior Golf Instructor on a weekly basis as needed
• Assist in fitting day's as required
• Assist in physical inventories as needed on a monthly basis
• Maintains and attractive and orderly appearance personally
