Overview

Williams Creek Golf Course is an award-winning 18-hole, Tom Fazio-designed par-3 championship golf course located one mile east of downtown Knoxville. This challenging layout offers three sets of tee boxes with holes ranging from 85 to 245 yards, large, fast, undulating bent grass greens, and 98 acres of natural rolling terrain filled with creeks, lakes, natural areas, and abundant wildlife.

The facility includes a clubhouse, snack bar, and spectacular practice area, including a driving range, chipping green with a green-side bunker, a three-hole loop course for children, and a large practice putting green. Construction has also begun on an Indoor Practice area, which will consist of 3 Trackman Simulators and a bar area to be used for teaching, clubfitting and entertainment.

As a Williams Creek Golf Course Team member, the Assistant Professional is responsible for managing the facilities' day-to-day operation. The position will promote an exceptional golf experience for golfers of all levels, deliver excellent customer service, and support the mission and programs of the
Williams Creek Golf Course and its various youth programs. The Assistant Golf Professional reports to the Director of Golf.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Has complete understanding of pro shop systems, all tasks, operations, procedures, guidelines, and policies required to operate the pro shop efficiently.
• Trains staff, ensuring all pro shop staff understand and follow established procedures and policies.
• Prepares work schedules, ensuring each shift is adequately staffed.
• Works in the pro shop with staff, booking tee times, selling merchandise, and attending to customers' needs.
• Ensures shift opening and closing duties are performed according to established procedures and
  policy.
• Accounts for all monies that pass through the pro shop.
• Ensures deposits are made, and reports are generated for the Finance Manager.
• Monitors inventory, orders merchandise, inputs orders into the inventory management system and
  generates inventory reports for the Finance Manager.
• Ensures merchandise is kept neat, attractively displayed, and sufficiently stocked.
• Ensures the pro shop area, parking lot, driving range, cart storage and cart staging areas are
  maintained orderly, clean and safe.
• Ensures carts are charged, rotated, cleaned and service records are maintained.
• Assists with tournament and event organization.
• Takes direction from and assists the Director of Golf.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Golf or Executive Director.

Experience Required

Canidate must have Level 1 of the PGM Program Complete and be in Active Standing
