As a key partner to the Director of Golf, the Assistant Golf Professional will play an integral role in shaping the daily golf experience for our members and guests. From supporting seamless day-to-day operations to enhancing player development programs and elevating service standards, this position is central to the continued success of our golf operation.

The ideal candidate will bring energy and leadership to instructional programming, overseeing team members involved in clinics and lessons while helping foster a welcoming, engaging environment for golfers of all skill levels. River Hall Country Club, located within a beautifully master-planned community, features an award-winning golf course designed by Davis Love III. Since opening in 2007, this 7,000+ yard course has delivered a fun yet challenging experience for members and guests, surrounded by natural beauty and thoughtful design. The Club also offers exceptional practice facilities, including a 400-yard double-sided driving range, expansive putting greens, chipping and bunker areas, and a short course-making it a premier golf destination in the region.

Salary: $60K - $65K, commensurate with experience plus lesson commission!

Experience Required

Qualifications include:

• Registered PGA PGM Level 2 Associate working towards Class A. Class A Member preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a golf-related role or relevant education in golf management, required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of golf equipment, rules, and etiquette.
• Valid Driver's License

Essential Responsibilities

Job purpose

As the Assistant Golf Professional, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager/Director of Golf in delivering exceptional golf experiences to our members and guests. Working closely with the golf management team, you will contribute to the overall success of the golf operation by assisting with various aspects of daily operations, player development programs, and customer service initiatives. Position will include supervision of all team members assisting with instructional programs and will also assist in the promotion of all golf activities with the membership.

Duties and responsibilities

• Serve as an ambassador of hospitality and goodwill to all members, guests, and fellow team members.
• Greet and welcome members and guests throughout the club and Pro Shop; anticipate and assist with their daily needs to ensure an exceptional experience.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire golf operation, including all Club rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in onboarding and training of all golf staff members to ensure consistency and excellence in service.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures following standard operating procedures for reconciliation, site security, etc.
• Collect fees and process payments in line with Club procedures, including shop purchases and greens fees.
• Assist in organizing and running tournaments, and other events, to help make them a success in line with Club policy.
• Organize and control play ensuring members and guests receive the best service and enjoyment during their day.
• Maintain familiarity with all merchandise and products in the Golf Shop to support sales and member service.
• Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Reconcile daily transactions in the Jonas system with corresponding tee sheet activity.
• Assist with basic club repair services as needed.
• Walk the range daily to engage with and assist members, providing a welcoming and helpful presence.
• Provide private and group golf instructions for members and guests.
• Assist the General Manager/Director of Golf with hiring, training, scheduling, and managing outside service operations.
• Operate within the guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by Hampton Golf.
• Participate in member golf activities with and provide golf instruction to members and guests.
• Support all operational areas of the golf department as needed.
• Maintain membership within the PGA of America.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
