Overview

Golf Shop Assistant

Position Concept:
The position will assist with the management of daily golf operations including managing and tracking play, assisting in supervising outside golf staff, assisting with all merchandising functions, managing tournaments, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer services, professional advice and assistance to all patrons.
• Control and manage play; ensure guest check-in and fee collection and coordinate smooth access and orderly play on the first tee.
• Communicate with the starter/ranger staff to insure smooth and speedy pace of play.
• Manage the tee time reservation system
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Maintain open lines of communication with all staff members relating to all aspects of the golf operation.
• Be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
• Always make sure the golf shop is presented in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Assist in promoting tournament schedules for Men's, Ladies and Couples.
• Develop a list of supplies and maintain adequate levels of listed supplies for the proshop operations.
• Experience with GHIN handicapping software, Foretees tee time reservations and Jonas Club Management Software Preferred, Not Required.

Experience Required

PGA associate working his/her way to membership. Basic knowledge and understanding of the game of golf is required. Prior Country Club customer service experience preferred, not required
