To complement the golf, Spirit Hollow offers on‑site lodging for up to 32 guests across 8 Lodge rooms and 2 Cabins, creating the perfect stay‑and‑play environment. The Shankopotamus Golf Academy enhances the experience with 7 climate‑controlled suites featuring Toptracer Technology, allowing golfers to practice, play virtual courses, or enjoy games year‑round.
The Role
The Golf Operations Assistant Professional at Spirit Hollow assists the Head Golf Professional and Director of Hospitality in the management of day-to-day operations of the facility. The position is responsible for the supervision and management of the golf operation and housekeeping staff in the absence of the Head Golf Professional or Director of Hospitality. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all customers.
Experience Required
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf and golf facility operations
- Fundamental supervisory practices and principles
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional and positive image at all times
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Experienced use of Google Drive, Point of Sale Systems, and Tournament Software
- Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
- Service and customer focused attitude
- This job may require long periods of standing or sitting, some bending or twisting and the ability to lift 50 pounds
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play
- Assist with Stay & Play operations
- Assist with all opening and closing procedures
- Assist with management of staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved
- Assist in managing golf cart operation and practice facility
- Assist in inventory control of hard goods, soft goods and special orders including: ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, display and sales
