Overview

The Assistant Golf Professional plays a key role in the daily operations of the golf facility, supporting golf shop management, player services, instruction, and event coordination. This position works closely with the Head PGA Professional to deliver a high-quality experience for members and guests while helping lead leagues, junior programming, and instructional initiatives.

This position reports directly to the Head PGA Professional, Jeff Huffman, and collaborates closely with the Lead Assistant Golf Professional, Alijah Dopson. The role offers a well-rounded opportunity to develop professionally in all areas of golf operations within a team-oriented environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the golf shop, including tee sheet management, check-in, and customer service
• Assist in organizing and administering leagues, tournaments, and golf outings
• Help plan and execute junior golf programs, clinics, and camps
• Provide instruction and player development support as opportunities arise
• Deliver a high level of service to members and guests to ensure a positive golf experience
• Assist with merchandising, inventory control, and overall golf shop presentation
• Monitor pace of play and assist with starting and on-course operations
• Supervise and support outside services staff when needed
• Enforce golf course rules, policies, and proper etiquette
• Maintain a professional appearance and contribute to a team-oriented work environment
