Overview

Memphis National Golf Club is a 36-Hole, private facility in Collierville, TN, with a very active membership playing nearly 60,000 rounds per year.

The Assistant Golf Professional position will assist the Head Golf Professional in all areas of the Golf Operation including monitoring daily play, staff management, tournaments and outings, merchandise, instruction and more.

Typical work week will consist of 30-35 hours in the Golf Shop, allowing 10-15 hours for conducting lessons/clinics, monitoring on course play and assisting with other activities.

Experience Required

• 1+ years experience, preferrably at a high-volume, private facilty
• PGA Class A membership, or an Associate working towards membership
• Knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
• Experience with JONAS (or similar) POS
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
• Assist all facets of golf operations, including the supervision and training of outside services
• Conduct individual lessons and clinics
• Assist with Member check in and daily play
• Assist Golf Shop daily opening and closing procedures
• Assist in managing tournament operations and weekly events
• Provide club repair and club fitting services to Members
• Assist Golf Shop merchandise management and inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders
• Play and promote golf with Members of all skill levels
