We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Girls Golf Coach to help develop and grow junior golf in Traverse City.
This position is an incredible opportunity for an aspiring coach or golf professional to gain hands-on experience, refine coaching techniques, and make a positive impact on student-athletes. Mentoring young players is not only a fantastic way to develop your skills as an instructor, but it is also deeply rewarding.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities
- Player Development & Swing Instruction: Provide clear, simple, and effective golf swing instruction to help players build strong fundamentals and confidence.
- Tournament Administration & Rules: Gain practical experience in setting up, administering, and running competitive high school tournaments.
- On-Course Strategy & Mentorship: Guide players through tournament play, helping them navigate golf course management, rules interpretations, and competitive mindsets.
- Team Leadership: Support the head coach in foster a positive, supportive, and competitive team culture.

Qualifications
Basic-to-intermediate knowledge of golf swing fundamentals and rules of golf. Passion for mentoring high school student-athletes and fostering a positive team environment. Strong communication skills and a patient, constructive teaching approach. Ability to attend practices and tournament dates during the high school season.
Requirements
Must be able to obtain your chauffeurs license to transport student athletes to tournaments (it is easy and I will help you through it). Basic-to-intermediate knowledge of golf swing fundamentals and rules of golf. Passion for mentoring high school student-athletes and fostering a positive team environment. Strong communication skills and a patient, constructive teaching approach. Ability to attend practices and tournament dates during the high school season.
