Hyatt Regency San Francisco is seeking an experienced, organized, and service-focused Assistant Executive Housekeeper to join our Rooms leadership team. This position supports the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry coordination, colleague leadership, quality assurance, productivity, cleanliness standards, and guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on housekeeping leader with strong operational knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a large team in a fast-paced, high-volume urban hotel environment. This role requires excellent communication, strong follow-through, and a passion for creating clean, comfortable, and welcoming spaces for guests and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily Housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, room inspections, staffing, productivity, and service standards.
- Support the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation of guest rooms, corridors, public spaces, service areas, linen rooms, and back-of-house areas.
- Lead, coach, and support housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, housepersons, public area attendants, and other housekeeping colleagues.
- Conduct room and public area inspections to ensure cleanliness, condition, and brand standards are consistently met.
- Monitor room status, priority rooms, VIP arrivals, early arrivals, late check-outs, rush rooms, and special guest requests.
- Partner closely with Front Office to support room readiness, guest recovery, room moves, out-of-order rooms, and daily arrival needs.
- Coordinate with Engineering to report and follow up on maintenance issues, guest room defects, preventative maintenance needs, and public area concerns.
- Assist with scheduling, payroll review, labor management, daily assignments, productivity tracking, and staffing deployment.
- Support onboarding, training, coaching, performance feedback, recognition, and colleague engagement initiatives.
- Ensure colleagues are trained on cleaning procedures, safety standards, chemical usage, equipment handling, lost and found procedures, and guest privacy requirements.
- Review guest feedback, service scores, inspection results, and operational trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with inventory control for linen, terry, uniforms, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, equipment, and other housekeeping items.
- Support linen management, laundry coordination, supply ordering, par levels, and cost control efforts.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, sanitation standards, brand standards, and applicable labor guidelines.
- Respond to guest concerns, housekeeping requests, service opportunities, and operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain strong communication with Front Office, Engineering, Security, Food & Beverage, Events, and other hotel departments.
- Promote a positive, respectful, inclusive, and accountable team culture.
- Act as department leader in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper when assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Rooms or hotel leadership.
This is a salaried position with a compensation ranging from $73,600-$92,000.

Qualifications
• Previous housekeeping supervisory or management experience required.
• Experience in a full-service hotel, convention hotel, luxury hotel, or high-volume urban hotel environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, public area cleanliness, laundry coordination, inventory control, and hotel room readiness.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a large team.
• Strong guest service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, quality, and consistency.
• Ability to partner effectively with Front Office, Engineering, Security, and other hotel departments.
• Basic understanding of labor management, productivity standards, scheduling, payroll, inventory, and expense control preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, safety procedures, sanitation standards, and OSHA-related practices preferred.
• Proficiency with hotel systems, housekeeping systems, Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, and operational reporting preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and business-demand periods.
