Description
Job Title: Assistant Clinical Director / Assistant Director of Counseling Services (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
Department: Clinical
Reports to: Clinical Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $60,000-63,000
Summary: The Assistant Clinical Director will provide direct therapeutic support to survivors of sexual violence and also hold supervisory responsibilities, assist with program oversight and development, and provide other essential support to the Clinical Director and the Clinical Program.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and full/clinical licensure required.
- Minimum one-year experience working directly with survivors of sexual violence.
- Experience in a supervisory, leadership, or training role, preferred.
- Ability to work with adolescents and adults of diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstration of non-judgmental, accepting attitude towards other people regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, age, or appearance.
- Commitment to DARCC mission and values.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to flexible working hours, emergency/crisis responses, and deadline constraints.
- Ability to self-motivate and take initiative in addressing service gaps and needs as well as staff needs, such as skill development and team building.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, staff, and community contacts.
- Ability to respectfully and effectively address and resolve conflict as needed, build consensus, and motivate change.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy and crisis intervention to people impacted by sexual violence.
- Maintain and keep current and confidential all client files.
- Research best practices and assist in ensuring that services provided to victims of sexual abuse/assault are culturally responsive, survivor-centered, and trauma-informed.
- Initiate changes in protocols, forms, and reports, as needed, to better serve the client and agency needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to facilitate program growth.
- Responsible for contributing to the development of clinical staff by providing case consultations, supervision, staff education, and other needs as indicated.
- Responsible for management of the Clinical Internship Program, including the recruiting, onboarding, and supervising of Clinical Interns.
- Assist with program reports and/or other grant reports.
- Assist with and/or conduct staff meetings and professional development.
- Conduct speaking engagements/trainings, as requested, throughout the community about sexual violence, related topics, and the DARCC response.
- Provide support and contribute to an environment in which all individuals are respected regardless of their individual differences.
- Adhere to state law and professional ethical principles. Maintain current credentials and provide licensure documentation, when applicable.
- Serve as a thought partner to the Clinical Director, providing insight, feedback, and informed recommendations on departmental initiatives.
- Assist the Clinical Director, as needed and as directed, in providing departmental leadership and continuity of operations.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Job Specifics:
- Work Setting: Hybrid virtual and remote schedule, with the number of in-office days being dependent on agency and client needs.
- Schedule: Mondays-Fridays, with some evening hours.
