Description
The City of White Plains is seeking an attorney preferably with municipal law experience. The incumbent will perform various legal activities in support of the City’s policies, procedures and operational activities in addition to providing legal counsel to City Commissioners and other officials, and represent the City before City, State and Federal courts, as well as administrative and other quasi-judicial bodies. The Department of Law provides a wide range of legal services for the City and its officials in areas including, but not limited to, assessment litigation, Article 78’s, appeals, planning and zoning matters, legislative research and drafting, contracting, real estate practice, labor and employment and code prosecutions.
Below are the salary ranges for attorney titles within the Department of Law, which are commensurate with relevant experience:
- Senior Assistant Corporation Counsel: $151,875-$197,500
- Assistant Corporation Counsel II: $101,956-$121,638
