This role involves performing a variety of radiographic procedures with professionalism and precision. Essential Responsibilities: Conduct diagnostic radiographic exams, ensuring patient history aligns with procedures and documenting all relevant information. Prepare and instruct patients to achieve optimal imaging results while minimizing anxiety. Operate radiography equipment and accessories skillfully to perform required procedures. Position patients appropriately, considering comfort and ability, and immobilize when necessary. Determine and apply correct radiographic exposure techniques. Implement radiation safety principles to protect patients, self, and others. Assess image quality and ensure proper identification is recorded. Attend to patients' physical and psychological needs throughout procedures. Practice aseptic techniques and perform venipunctures as needed. Prepare, identify, and administer contrast media under licensed practitioner guidance. Assist with interventional and fluoroscopic procedures, including non-interpretive tasks. May perform catheter anchoring and initiate basic life support when necessary. Educate patients about tests and procedures to foster understanding and cooperation. Maintain assigned areas, report equipment issues, and manage supply restocking. Provide practical instruction to students and healthcare professionals. Participate in quality assessment and improvement initiatives within the department. Adhere to all relevant standards and policies, including on-call duties as required.
