Description
Role OverviewMy client is seeking a motivated ALM Assistant Manager to support Asset & Liability Management activities with a strong focus on Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) matters. The role involves balance sheet analysis, risk monitoring, and management reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ALCO governance and operations, including preparation of meeting materials, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions
- Perform balance sheet analysis covering liquidity risk, interest rate risk, and funding structure
- Monitor key ALM metrics, limits, and regulatory ratios (e.g. LCR, NSFR, interest rate sensitivity)
- Prepare regular ALCO and senior management reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Assist in fund transfer pricing (FTP) analysis and policy maintenance
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis for liquidity and interest rate risk
- Coordinate with Treasury, Risk Management, Finance, and Business units on ALM-related matters
- Support enhancement of ALM frameworks, models, systems, and internal policies
- Assist in regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in ALM, Treasury, Risk Management, or Banking Finance
- Basic understanding of ALM concepts, ALCO governance, liquidity risk, and interest rate risk
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel; experience with ALM systems or data tools is an advantage
- Good communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear management reports
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work under deadlines
- Experience supporting ALCO meetings in a banking environment
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks related to liquidity or interest rate risk
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or CPA (or progress toward them) is a plus
