Your new role
- Support the implementation of a new expense and travel system.
- Process purchase invoices, approximately 150 to 200 per month.
- Process sales invoices, approximately 150 to 200 per quarter.
- Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports and ensure outstanding balances are chased promptly.
- Prepare monthly accounts payable reports, investigating debit balances and overdue payments.
- Maintain the fixed asset register monthly and complete the reconciliation as part of month end.
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and resolve discrepancies or queries.
- Support staff credit card expense processing.
- Review staff expenses, ensuring correct support, coding and VAT treatment.
- Prepare fortnightly payment runs.
- Support the preparation of monthly prepayments and accruals for the group entities.
- Assist the Finance Manager with analysis and information required for the monthly management accounts.
- Provide support during the audit process.
- Onboard new suppliers and customers onto the NetSuite system.
What you'll need to succeed
- 1 to 3 years' experience in a finance or accounts role.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience, including Word and Excel.
- Proactive, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work unsupervised.
- Good team player, able to work effectively within a small team where ad hoc tasks can arise. Flexibility and a willingness to get stuck in are key.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to colleagues at Gresham House.
