Job Description

   Korea Institute of Energy Technology(KENTECH) is currently solicitating applications for several tenure-track faculty positions. 
   Successful applicants are expected to develop and lead internationally recognized research programs in the broad area of energy science and technology with a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, or equivalent) in engineering, natural science, computer science, or related fields, and be able to deliver lectures in English.

About KENTECH
   Founded in 2021 under the KENTECH Act approved by National Assembly, KENTECH receives ongoing support from the Korean government, Jeollanam Province, Naju City and the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). KENTECH aspires to become a hub and open innovation platform for global energy research and start-ups by promoting international collaboration in research and education. Toward this end, it strives to become a small yet strong university with 1,300 students (400 undergraduate and 600 graduate students, with an additional 300 students from abroad) and 100 professors, focusing on energy research and education, technology ecosystem buildup including technology transfer and start-ups, etc. KENTECH plans to attract large-scale national research facilities and to create a 400,000 m2 industry-academic cluster to foster close collaboration among domestic and international research institutions and industries. KENTECH is promoting flagship research projects in five specialized fields and is establishing joint research institutes with leading global universities and research institutes.       (1) A list of 5 representative research outcomes and supporting documents (e.g., papers, patents, books, technical developments, etc.), 
           *If you submit more than five publications, only the first five will be accepted.
      (2) A list of SCI-level papers from the past 3 years and registered patents  
           *Conference proceeding papers presented at world-renowned international conferences in the field of Computer Science and AI can be included in the representative publication list.
   (f) A list of Advisors for Master's and Doctoral Programs
   (g) A list of non-preferred Reviewers for the application (If necessary)

   Candidates who passed the document screening will be invited to have an interview either on-line or off-line for further evaluation. During the interview process, we will determine the  amount of start-up fund. Candidates are required to submit KENTECH start-up project proposal(Attachment 1).
