Assistant Director of Alumni Experiences
Description
The Advancement division at Dartmouth is seeking a key partner to join our Alumni Experiences team! Our Assistant Director of Alumni Experiences will play an important role in delivering high-impact programming and events that connect alumni to the College and to each other.
The Job: As our new colleague, you’ll be at the heart of our Alumni Experiences team, turning connection opportunities into unforgettable moments through events like reunions, homecoming, alumni council, and more. You’ll develop engagement strategies and bring them to life, engage and motivate volunteers, and foster community building that is positive, open, and rich in combined experiences and backgrounds. Event planning from concept to inception is an important part of this role and your work will complement nicely our full circle engagement efforts and goals. A relationship-builder at heart, collaborations with colleagues and volunteers are critical in our work and help us bring memorable moments in our event experiences. Our work is fun and engaging and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Your Skills: You have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in event or program management. You’re recognized for your exceptional customer service and communication skills, and you thrive in fast-paced settings where flexibility, organization, and teamwork are essential. You love building relationships, connecting people, and making sure every detail contributes to an exceptional experience.
Our technology suite currently includes Microsoft Office, Advance, email marketing tools, Jira, and Slack. If you bring us solid skills in the Microsoft Office suite that is part of our everyday work (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), we’ll teach you the rest of our software programs through a tailored onboarding plan. Most importantly, you’re excited to roll up your sleeves and join your Alumni Relations colleagues in doing their best work.
Our Location: Dartmouth’s campus is located in Hanover, NH. This position offers the opportunity to work hybrid with a combination of onsite and remote work (the best of both worlds!) and we’re looking for someone within commuting distance.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of an imaginative and talented team of engagement professionals and to contribute to connection opportunities for our 85,000+ alumni. Discover more about this role, our division, and the Dartmouth community through the links below:
