Located in downtown Brooklyn, in one of New York City’s most diverse and thriving urban communities, LIU Pharmacy (The Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences), one of the oldest schools of pharmacy in the nation, prepares students for successful careers in the fields of pharmacy and health care. LIU Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, assistant/associate professor position in the Division of Pharmacy Practice. Successful candidates will be responsible for precepting students in an inpatient general medicine advanced pharmacy practice experience where students apply their pharmaceutical knowledge to a variety of disease states. The faculty’s practice site will be one of the prestigious medical centers/hospitals within the five boroughs of New York City affiliated with the College of Pharmacy. Faculty responsibilities also include didactic teaching and providing clinical services at the practice site and service at the College. Faculty members are expected to build a portfolio of scholarly work within their area of interest.
Applicants must have a passion for educating students, be licensed, or eligible for licensure, in the state of New York, and be residency-trained (or possess comparable clinical experience).
