Haverford College invites applications for one or more full-time Visiting Assistant Professors of Chemistry.
Haverford College anticipates the need to hire one or more full-time Visiting Assistant Professors for the 2026-2027 academic year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year pending a successful review and departmental staffing needs. Successful candidates are expected to be able to teach courses across the undergraduate curriculum, including integrated advanced laboratory courses, advanced topics courses in their areas of research expertise, and introductory and/or organic courses. Full-time Visiting Assistant Professors teach five courses per academic year.
Haverford is a highly selective college with motivated students and a commitment to both quality instruction and significant scholarship. Our location in the close western suburbs of Philadelphia, with good connections to many East Coast cities, allows for convenient interactions with colleagues at other institutions.

Requirements
Candidates must have completed a PhD by June 2026. The position begins nominally on July 1, 2026, with academic responsibilities beginning during August 2026 and continuing through the end of the spring semester in mid-May 2027.
