- Staff Research Assistant Position in GPCR signaling
Description
An NIH-funded Staff Research Assistant position is available in the Pioszak laboratory in the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The lab studies peptide-activated class B GPCRs of high medical importance. The position will involve conducting experiments as well as administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and maintaining databases. Many of the experiments involve purified proteins or cell culture-based assays.
The Pioszak lab is housed in the modern S.L. Young Biomedical Research Center on the rapidly expanding medical school campus adjacent to the vibrant downtown Oklahoma City area. Low cost-of-living and warm climate with plentiful sunshine make the OKC area a pleasant place to work and live.
Annual salary range is $33,600-43,700 depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements
Applicants should hold a B.S. in Biochemistry or related area and have at least 1 year of lab research experience. Experience with cell culture is an advantage, but is not required.
