WHO WE ARE: Quality Community Health Care (QCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) operated health care center since 1980. We provide service at 3 locations in Philadelphia, PA, managing the health and wellness of patients from infants through senior citizens. We practice medicine as a partnership between us and our patients.
POSITION PURPOSE: The qualified candidate will provide primary care services to pediatric patients. The individual must be proficient in treating various medical problems ranging from preventive care to more complex and difficult-to-identify conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
1. Perform routine health assessments and acute care for children and youth to twenty-one (21).
2. Formulate and implement health management and plans with the parents and patients.
3. Provide consultation for the pediatric mid-level provider so that he or she can function to his or her maximum potential.
4. Maintain patient records in the prescribed manner (problem-oriented record system).
5. Write and dictate letters and summaries, referrals, etc., for appropriate coordination/continuity of care.
6. Admit and attend hospitalized patients as necessary. Submit a monthly report of the same to the supervisor.
7. Assist with and participate in staff/community health education projects.
8. Participate in weekly case conferences and chart audit systems regularly.
9. Participate in regular continuing medical education activities (50 credit hours per year).
10. Participate on staff committees as necessary.
11. Provide 4,200 patient encounters (minimum) per year.
12. Be available for office hours, evenings, and Saturdays according to rotation, including holidays.
13. Provide emergency telephone coverage according to rotation, including weekends and holidays.
14. Perform other related work as required by the Supervisor.
15. Carry out QCHC House Rules.
16. Maintain accurate logs and record keeping.
17. Active participation in the Quality Assurance Program
18. Supervise consultation in all areas of the Pediatric Department.
19. Participate in all Immunization Protocols and Procedures as the American College of Physicians (ACP) indicates.
We are a federally qualified health care center and the salary offered for this position is negotiable at $190,000 to $215,000 to start with a pay increase in 6 months.
Although the salary range may not be large, we offer additional benefits are as follows:

Education:
Proof of Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and completion of Residency from an accredited program
State of Pennsylvania Licensure
