We're currently looking to hire a Special Assistant for the 2026 Campaign cycle.
Purpose/Summary:
This position is only until November 2026. The special assistant is responsible for supporting the Campaign Manager through a combination of project management, research, and high level administrative support. This includes drafting and preparing memos on relevant political engagements, events, and scheduling needs. Works independently or with senior leadership. Sensitivity to confidential matters, a high level of professionalism, tact and diplomacy are paramount. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high engagement, high intensity work environments, has administrative work experience, and enjoys providing practical support.
Duties: The Special Assistant will work closely with the Campaign Manager and Political Director to support the daily operations of the campaign and provide administrative assistance. Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Support in the completion of memos and liaise with external partners/campaigns as needed
- Provide administrative and operational support including scheduling, occasional travel needs, prepare meeting materials/briefs, email management
- Maintain a chronicled log of community interactions and sponsorship
- Maintain written and verbal communications with community partners as needed
- Research and comprise briefs on local and national issues, advocacy initiatives, and electoral campaigns
- Event staffing including but not limited to campaign events and third party events
- Aid in the purchase and delivery of food and supplies for community events and sponsorships, as needed
- Support on line budgeting and line production for events, as needed
- Plan and build long term infrastructure for field and political department

Salary & Benefits: Gross monthly compensation for this role ranges from $6,600 to 7,500 based on experience. This role is eligible for benefits including medical benefits including vision/dental, accumulated paid time off. This is not a Campaign Workers’ Guild eligible role.
