Mayfield Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Seasonal (March 1st - Dec 31st) Assistant Golf Professional to join our golf operations team. This position is well-suited for a PGA Level 1 Associate or an individual pursuing PGA Membership who is eager to develop their skills and grow within the golf industry while working in a high-quality private club environment.

The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the Head Golf Professional and Lead Assistant to support the daily operation of the golf department. Responsibilities will include assisting with pro shop operations, outside services, tournaments and events, merchandising support, and instructional programming. This role is hands-on and service-focused, with a strong emphasis on delivering an exceptional member and guest experience.

The Assistant Golf Professional is expected to contribute positively to all areas of the golf operation while demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a willingness to learn. This position provides valuable exposure to all facets of a successful golf operation and opportunities for professional development and advancement.

Experience Required

• PGA Associate (Level 1 or higher) or PGA Member.
• 1-2 years of experience in golf operations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the club's and its members' needs.
• Desire to learn all facets of the golf business in a fast-paced, high-end environment.
• A "hands on" work ethic and attention to detail.

Essential Responsibilities

• Tee times and event management (Foretees tee time system).
• POS - Jonas
• Golf Genius Golf Shop (special orders, staff scheduling, demo tracking)
• Golf Genius Premium (tournament operations)
• Assist with the Junior Program (clinics, PGA Junior league, individual lessons)
• Directly manage the outside service team to ensure seamless transitions for members and guests. This includes staff scheduling.
• Professional Development: Actively pursue the completion of PGA PGM requirements (if an Associate)
• Inventory control - checking in, processing, and display
• Merchandising
• Golf Simulator program
• Golf Cart GPS PACE system
• Cart fleet control and management
• Caddie training and assignments
• Golf event management - planning, budgeting, executing, and billing (Golf Genius)
• Handicap management
• Rules of Golf
• Club fitting
• Marking the golf course
• Play with members
