Description
Position Overview: The Recruitment Assistant helps with recruiting efforts. Activities include: Posting jobs on internal and external websites, processing applications, scheduling and conducting interviews, and assisting in recruitment fairs online and in person. The Recruitment Assistant represents Montana Conservation Corps to external candidates, and demonstrates a passion for MCC and its mission.
Locations: Remote/Hybrid; Must live in Montana. Residing in one of our regional office locations is preferred (Bozeman, Helena, Kalispell, Missoula)
Position Dates: 01/05/2026 - 05/08/2026
Wage: $20 per hour
Classification: Seasonal Full Time (32 hours per week)
Status: Non-Exempt

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule Interviews
Conduct Interviews and reference checks
Assist in placing online ads in various places, maintain tracking of placement for each position in our database management system (Salesforce)
Attend career fairs or other necessary events to help recruit as needed
Research new opportunities for candidate outreach
Communicate with university professors, high school teachers, advisors, and other stakeholders about MCC’s programs
Cultivate a welcoming environment for all members and staff
Review and correct data, perform data entry
Participate in Staff work groups related to admissions
Participate in weekly conference calls with recruitment and regional program staff

Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, and relate to a variety of people from different backgrounds
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
Excellent computer skills, including use of MS Office Suite
Ability to pass a Criminal History Check
A valid driver’s license and ability to be insurable per MCC parameters
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience with MCC’s programs or another corps program
Live in one of our 4 regional office locations (Bozeman, Helena, Kalispell, or Missoula
