Overview

This position is located at Casa Linda Oaks Golf Course, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Department, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in support of the Recreation Program that may include special events, and outdoor recreation or other similar MWR recreational services including grab-n-go, fitness and sports.  This is a HYBRID role that includes outdoor work as well as work in the pro shop.

Experience Required

• Males must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.  https://www.sss.gov/register/
• Selectee must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
• Selectee is required to participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Social Security Card is required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-VERIFY) check. As of May 7, 2025, The REAL ID act requires visitors to have a REAL ID or passport to access to Government Facilities. This will be a requirement for employment.
• A favorable background is a requirement of this position. Failure to obtain and maintain a favorable background may result in the withdrawal of the position offer or removal.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provides support of the golf program and activities associated with the golf course.
• Collects golf green fees, golf lessons/clinics, food and beverage, and other miscellaneous items to include booking and golf tee time reservations.
• Processes customer golf tournaments.
• Checks golf rental equipment.
• Notifies of any damage or loss of golf cars, rental clubs and driving range equipment.
• Assists in golf events and food and beverage activities.
• Assists Golf Pro Shop Manager in assigned tasks.
• Promotes golf activities.
