GYN Surgical Physician Assistant opportunity in Hartford, CT

Trinity Health OF New England Medical Groupa member of Trinity Health Of New England, the regions largest nonprofit health systemseeks a Physician Assistant to join our Gynecologic Surgical Team in Hartford, CT.

This exciting, full-time position is ideal for a self-motivated Physician Assistant who is knowledgeable in Gynecologic Surgery and enjoys working in all aspects of patient care within the Gynecology Department. St. Francis is a teaching hospital, and this position requires working closely with the GYN Resident team, medical students, and Physician Assistant students. The ideal candidate would possess the current skills to evaluate surgical patients, interact with the Multidisciplinary Hospital Staff, and assist in all aspects of patient care. This includes first assisting in the operating room, emergency room consults and in-house peri-operative management of our Gynecology, MIGS, Urogynecology, and Gynecologic Oncology patients. Our state-of-the-art facilities include 4 Davinci robots including the newest DV5 system.

The applicant must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program who is eligible to be licensed to practice as a Certified Physician Assistant in Connecticut. A current federal DEA and eligibility for CT Controlled Substance Registration will be required. The candidate must have certification by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants). The successful candidate should have proven experience in a surgical setting or completion of a Postgraduate Surgical Residency program. We are open to highly motivated new graduate candidates.

Experienced candidates with previous robotic proficiency are preferred.
