 General Surgery Sub-Specialty (Nights)

Physician Assistant

Join our dedicated surgical team and make a difference every night!We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to manage the overnight inpatient and operative needs of our surgical patients. Working in collaboration with, and under the supervision of, an attending physician, you will be a key member of our team, ensuring the highest quality of care for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform patient care plans.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and assist in intraoperative procedures.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families on disease prevention and management.
• Maintain a safe, just, and collaborative work environment.
  
  

Requirements:

• Successful completion of an approved physicians assistant program, accredited by the Accreditation and Review Committee for Physician Assistants (ARC-PA) or other NCCPA certification examination qualifying accrediting agency.
• Maintenance of a minimum of 100 hours of CME in accordance with NCCPA regulations every 2 years
  
  

Knowledge, Education and Skills Preferred:  

• 2 years of surgery experience is preferred however new graduates are considered.
• Preferred robotic training
• Required Certification/Licensing:   
• New Jersey State Physician Assistant Certification
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
• New Jersey CDS license
• Federal DEA license

COMPENSATION:

Minimum Base Salary: $148,803.20

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
