Overview

The right fit for the position is knowledgable about golf, enjoys assisting with booking tee times, signing up for golf events, buying merchandise, answering phones and greeting people. This person will also assist with steaming, tagging, displaying merchandise and help to keep the golf shop looking fresh and tidy.

Experience Required

Preferrably someone who has golf knowledge and enjoys being around golfers, talking golf, and also takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team. Someone who is considering a career in golf would be great.

Essential Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

Consistently emulate the "Go First" culture with all other employees, leaders, members, guests.

• Participate in weekly meetings with the management team and communicate with other team members regarding policies and standards.
• Register golfers for daily and tournament play.
• Assist members with tee times.
• Create a positive experience for each customer - provide excellent customer service & sales advice.
• Be able to self-direct and work in a team environment.
• Assist members and guests with sale of golf shop merchandise.
• Assist golf professional staff with month end inventories.
• Golf experience or knowledge of the game is required.
• Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Retail/Point-of-Sale Software.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possess the ability to drive a battery-operated golf cart, following safety guidelines.

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow, etc.)
• Must be able to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight.
