Overview

The Lead Assistant Golf Professional will be involved in overseeing the golf operations for a 36-hole facility, including
member relations, tournament management, tee sheet management, retail operations, and outside services.

BlackHorse Golf Club is often referred to as one of the best public courses in Houston. In its current state, BlackHorse delivers a country club feel to a semi-private facility. As the membership continues to grow, an enhanced focus is being directed toward better serving the membership and creating a club to call home. This includes our South course becoming the members only course and is activley in the process of a 2-million dollar bunker renovation.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in all core golf operation functions for a 36-hole facility.
• Meet with the Head Professional on a daily basis to discuss strategies to offer a better experience for all golfers.
• Run and operate tournaments for outside organizations and the BlackHorse membership.
• Manage the outside services staff, marshalls, and starters.
• Play golf with membership.
• Be highly visible to all golfers on property.
• Enforce all club rules, policies, and regulations.
• Have a desire to progress through the golf industry and show initiative to help achieve personal goals.
