Pocasset Golf Club is a private equity, member owned golf club, located in a quiet village of Pocasset in the town of Bourne, MA. Founded in 1916.
Club members and their guests enjoy an amazing 18-hole Donald Ross Design golf course. The facility does approximately 18,000-22,000 rounds annually. Programs span across the entire scope of the membership with 35-40 annual member events geared to men, women, juniors and couples. Pocasset has hosted such events as the Mid-Amateur Championship, Womens Mass Amateur Championship, PGA Assistants Championship and U.S Senior Open Qualifier.
Job Description

The Assistant Professional of Pocasset Golf Club is an integral part of the operation. They will assist the PGA Head Golf Professional in the management of all daily golf operations and report directly to the Head Golf Professional.

Responsibilities include: Provide excellent customer service and assistance to all members and their guests. Assist in managing all daily operations and tournament play; coordinate weekly women's leagues & PGA Junior League; assist in managing, training, and scheduling of bag room and part time staff; club repair; provide golf lessons and clinics that are consistent with instructional methods, policies, and procedures in place; encouraged to play golf with members and guests as time permits; assist in inventory display, control, promotion, and sales of pro shop merchandise.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and maintain a professional image and demeanor always. Has a regular and reliable attendance and performs other duties as required. The Assistant Professional will be required to possess a working knowledge of the Rules of Golf and will be responsible to familiarize themselves with club rules as they pertain to the golf shop operation. Recommended experience would include a strong background in junior golf instruction and a solid working knowledge of GHIN, Golf Genius, Microsoft Word, Excel, and public speaking.

Experience Required

• PGA Member or Level 2+ PGA Apprentice preferred.
• Prior experience in utilizing handicap systems, POS systems & tournament software.
• Experience in managing and supervising employees.
• Coordination of tournaments & leagues.
• Possesses strong organizational, planning and prioritizing skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience in providing remarkable customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
