Overview

Manchester Country Club is seeking a motivated and service-driven Lead Assistant Golf Professional to join our professional staff. This year-round position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the golf department and works closely with the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional to deliver a high-quality member experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to learn, grow professionally, and contribute to the continued success of one of New Hampshire's premier private clubs.

About the Club
Established in 1923, Manchester Country Club is one of the oldest member-owned, private clubs in New Hampshire. Located just outside Manchester and 50 miles north of Boston, the club features a classic Donald Ross golf course celebrating over 100 years of history. MCC has hosted numerous amateur and PGA sectional events and is currently undergoing a master restoration plan under renowned architect Ron Forse to return the course to its original Ross design.

Position Summary
The Lead Assistant Golf Professional will support all facets of the golf operation, including but not limited to: daily golf shop operations, tournament execution, merchandising, teaching and coaching, and managing outside service staff. This position will also play a leadership role in staff training and customer service delivery, helping to ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere for members and guests.

Experience Required

Preferred Qualifications

• PGA Member (A-8) in good standing or PGA Associate working toward membership.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience as a First Assistant or senior-level Assistant Golf Professional.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional demeanor.
• Proficiency with Golf Genius, GHIN, and Jonas (or similar POS systems).
• Merchandising and invoice management experience required.
• Experience with golf instruction, club fitting, TrackMan, and indoor simulators is a plus.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to members and guests in all areas of the golf operation.
• Assist in managing the golf shop, including merchandising, inventory control, and point-of-sale operations.
• Lead the planning and execution of tournaments and member events using Golf Genius software.
• Support junior golf programs, clinics, and individual instruction (including the use of TrackMan and simulators).
• Supervise and train golf operations staff, including outside services and shop assistants.
• Collaborate with the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf to ensure a seamless golf experience.
• Maintain strong communication with members, staff, and vendors.
• Contribute to the continued growth and improvement of all golf programming and services.
