We specialize in providing medical care, physical therapy, and rehabilitation services for patients with work-related injuries, slip and fall incidents, and automobile accidents. Our expertise includes treating USPS federal employees, and other federal employees under the Federal Employees’ Compensation Act (FECA), and non-federal workers with job-related injuries.
We are highly experienced in managing Workers’ Compensation claims from inception to end, including those filed with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP).
Job summary:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Physical Therapist(s) to implement patient-centered treatment plans and help our patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve their overall quality of life. This is a full-time position for an individual who is passionate about their work and committed to contributing to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Implement delegated treatment plans and programs under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercise, manual therapy, and therapeutic modalities, to patients of all ages.
- Observe, monitor, and document patient responses to treatment, updating the supervising physical therapist on progress and any changes in condition.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and daily living activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation using our EMR system.
- Assist with clinic maintenance, equipment setup, and ensuring a safe and clean treatment environment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to provide an outstanding patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Associate of Applied Science degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Valid and current FL PTA license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- A solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based rehabilitation techniques.
