With an elevation of 4,280 feet, Beech Mountain Club's extensive amenities are found atop the highest incorporated town east of the Mississippi. Located in the heart of North Carolina's High Country, the Club offers spectacular long-range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. But that's not all that sets Beech Mountain Club above any other country club you'll find in the North Carolina Mountains.

While our altitude may be lofty, our culture - and our temperatures - aren't. Temperatures rarely rise above 80 degrees on Beech Mountain, even in the heat of summer. We are an affordable, casual social club that creates and attracts a relaxed, family-oriented, inclusive community where everyone belongs and can enjoy all the exciting activities that our Club and the surrounding mountains offer all year round.

Experience Required

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Excellent service and member focused attitude
• Exceptional communicator both verbally and written
• Ability to communicate and interact with members and guests and be friendly and outgoing at all times
• Must have professional presentation and strong customer service skills
• Must be capable of managing and training staff
• Must be capable of making independent decisions and problem solving with little supervision
• Possess valid state Drivers' License
• Must be able to withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow, etc.) including prolonged exposure to sunlight
• Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend at waist and perform repetitive hand, wrist and foot action
• Good hand/eye/foot coordination required
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred
• PGA Associate Level 2 or 3 minimum
• Two years of prior private club or resort experience preferred
• Compensation commensurate with experience

Essential Responsibilities

As a member of the Beech Mountain Club Professional Staff, the Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Professional and Director of Golf in all aspects of the golf operation including: day-to-day operational management, member and guest tournaments/events, group/individual instruction, merchandising, and club repair. This individual will assist in supervising the golf operations staff to ensure the highest level of service to the members and their guests. Official Position Duration: April 25 - October 31. Date adjustments will be considered for Candidates with other seasonal position obligations.
