Description

 Wellman for Missouri is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the campaign’s fundraising operation. This person will manage the logistics of the candidate’s call time and ensure that donor outreach is accurately tracked and followed up on. Fundraising is a critical component of winning a competitive congressional race, and this role helps ensure the campaign operates efficiently and hits its goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in political campaigns, fundraising operations, or campaign finance to gain hands-on experience on a competitive Democratic campaign.

Requirements

 Responsibilities 

Staff the candidate during scheduled call time sessions

Enter and track call results in the campaign’s fundraising systems

Log pledges, follow-ups, and donor notes with accuracy and attention to detail

Keep call time sessions moving efficiently and on schedule

Track pledged vs. received contributions and flag outstanding pledges for follow-up

Send follow-up emails or donation links when appropriate

Maintain accurate donor records and ensure data integrity across systems

Assist with basic finance reporting such as call time outcomes and pledge tracking

Work closely with the Finance Director and campaign leadership to support fundraising goals

Qualifications 

Strong attention to detail and comfort with data entry

Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational skills and reliability

Positive attitude and ability to work closely with campaign leadership

Interest in Democratic politics and the mission of the campaign

Experience with spreadsheets, databases, or CRM systems is helpful but not required

Schedule
This is a full-time position, but campaign schedules are often unpredictable. Call time frequently occurs during weekday afternoons and evenings when donors are available, so flexibility and availability are essential.
