CAMP LOHIKAN in the Pocono Mts.

Camp Lohikan is a coed, residential summer camp located in northeast Pennsylvania. Our campers range in age from 6 to 15. We operate 65+ activities on a daily basis and our facilities are extensive. Click here for more information.
Camp Lohikan is a traditional summer camp for boys and girls of the ages 6 to 15. We are located in the Pocono Mts. of northeastern Pennsylvania in the village of Lake Como. We're about 2.5 hours from New York City.
Camp Lohikan has been operated by the Buynak family since 1957. We are a warm, welcoming camp community dedicated to caring for our campers and staff. Our goal is to provide an environment of support and encouragement where children will try new things and grow in the process. - In addition to our camp doctor, our Health Center is staffed with a Health Center Manager, RNs, LPNs, Health Center Assistants, and a Support Person.
- We have 430 healthy campers ages 7-15, and 240 staff members each summer.
- High-Speed Internet Access available.
- Our health center is staffed with 5 to 7 RNs, a resident camp doctor, infirmary assistants, and a health services manager. All medical staff members live on campgrounds

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Physicians live on-site for the 7 days they are scheduled at camp. The camp doctor sees sick or injured children and staff, communicate with parents and the camp director, and works as part of our Health Center team.
- Medical staff must hold a valid Pennsylvania Medical License
- Applicants must be individuals with high moral character and a strong work ethic. Working in the infirmary and working with children is hard work! We expect our staff members to be excellent role models for our campers.
- Previous camp experience is not necessary.
- Camp Lohikan is a non-smoking camp.
- As a condition of employment applicants must pass Camp Lohikan's pre-offer and post-offer staff screening processes which include: reference checks, criminal background checks, sex-offender registry check and other staff screening checks deemed appropriate.
