Audit Senior Assistant Manager

cer Financial are working alongside a top 50 accounting firm. They are seeking an Audit Senior Assistant Manager to work with them on a permanent basis at their Milton Keynes office

The responsibilities of the candidate will include:

1. Split role: 80% audits, 20% accounts
2. Plan, supervise, and execute audits (turnovers up to £250m), including specialist sectors (FSA, pensions, solicitors, charities, schools), meeting deadlines and budgets
3. Support and guide junior staff on technical accounting and audit issues
4. Prepare draft corporation tax computations, statutory and consolidated accounts (FRS102)
5. Draft management recommendations post-audit
6. Prepare group reporting responses as component auditor
7. Handle larger accounts for audit-exempt companies, partnerships, and LLPs

The candidate will need experience in:

1. Proficiency with Proaudit, CCH Accounts Production (AP), Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Alphatax, and Microsoft Office desirable; laptop provided
2. ACA or ACCA qualified (degree not essential) or qualified to sit (Advanced Level or equivalent)
3. Minimum 2.5 years' audit experience in a practice of similar size to Mercer & Hole or larger, with consistent audit exposure
