- Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Semiconductor Electronic Devices
Description
Prompted by Yale University’s recently announced plans for growth in engineering, including a historic series of infrastructure investments to transform the face and trajectory of its School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), the department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is announcing an open rank faculty position at the assistant, associate or full professor level in the field of semiconductor devices and electronic materials and hardware for AI applications. We are especially interested in mid-career candidates with demonstrated excellence for appointment with tenure. We aim to identify experts on semiconductor devices, materials, and AI hardware which can address limitations of traditional software and computing architectures. The targeted research areas include, but are not limited to, devices and materials for analog and mixed signal processing, communications, energy efficient computing, semiconductor photonic and optoelectronic devices. A successful candidate is expected to be actively engaged in research in semiconductor devices, as well as teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The appointment is anticipated to start July 1, 2026 or later.
Applicants should upload a CV, a cover letter, a research statement and a teaching statement. Recent PhDs and assistant professor candidates should arrange for three referees to upload letters of recommendation by the due date. To ensure full consideration, please submit all materials by December 31, 2025. Review of applications will begin after January 1, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled. For questions regarding this position, please email Chair’s Assistant, Sarah Allegrini (sarah.allegrini@yale.edu).
