Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Business Systems & Analytics
The Jack C. Massey College of Business at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor beginning August 1, 2026.
Job Description
The area of specialization that will be given preference for this position is business analytics with a focus on applied artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML). Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate Business Systems & Analytics (BSA) courses required of the undergraduate major, MBA programs, and the Master of Science in Applied Analytics (MSAA) program. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and college and university service appropriate for the appointed rank.

Required Qualifications
A completed doctorate degree in Business/Data Analytics, Data Science (AI/ML), Information Systems, Management Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or related fields from an accredited institution, with a business background or a focus on business applications and teaching experience in higher education. ABD candidates will also be considered, but the doctorate must be completed before the start date of the position.
The candidate will be expected to teach in undergraduate and graduate BSA courses offered in the Massey College of Business. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a well-developed research agenda with a promise of publishing in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals in business/data analytics. This position includes an external-facing role that requires the ability to effectively build partnerships with industry. Additional responsibilities include academic advising and service to the college and university. A terminal degree in Business Systems & Analytics or a related field from an accredited university is required. ABD candidates will also be considered. As all Belmont undergraduates complete an innovative general education program with significant interdisciplinary components, Belmont University is particularly seeking applicants who can demonstrate the interest and ability to work collaboratively in course design and to teach interdisciplinary and topical courses in this program.
