Description
Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice (non-tenure track) position in Aeronautical Engineering Technology, Aviation Management, Professional Flight, or Unmanned Aerial Systems, beginning in Fall 2026. This faculty appointment is in the School of Aviation & Transportation Technology, the Purdue Polytechnic Institute.
Essential job duties include the following: (1) Develop and teach undergraduate courses in Aviation and related areas; (2) collaborate with other academic units at Purdue, and engage with government and industry in aviation and aerospace; (3) serve on university, college, and department committees; (4) perform customary faculty assignments and student mentoring; and (5) demonstrate a commitment to impactful and transformational education. The candidate must have a record of teaching, training or instructional design, and mentoring.
Requirements
Master’s degree in aviation, or related field, must be obtained by the August 17, 2026.
